Brighton - Thursday 4th August 2011 - Day 85
In the morning we had to move from the berth to let the motor cruiser 'Scirocco' out as she put to sea. I do not think the skipper's good lady would of been too happy, as it was really rough out there with a lot of wind. Those who are a little more cautious decided to stay in port.
Bill got on with the laundry and shopping while I continued blogging. With 'Selene' ranging alongside the pontoon in the strong wind I decided it was time to sort out the leaks from the loo. The pump was removed, cleaned out and a new diaphragm fitted, problem solved.
In the evening went to Brighton city centre on the No.7 bus which is a 15 minute ride and free with a bus pass. As it had been a while since we had been to a Weatherspoons went to the Blue Helm but internally it was too modern, so to another, Post and Telegraph where we had a meal in more familiar surroundings. The bus brought us back to the marina for 23.00 and into the Weatherspoons there but they throw us out as it was too late, three Weatherspoons in an evening, maybe some kind of record.
